Winter in Michigan this year had record cold temperatures and my hobby room was not immune to that cold...I heated it for a few weeks, then came this 500 plus dollar heating bill...Ouch...so...I was relegated to cold sanding spells....it started to warm up a few weeks ago...still to cold really...but I had to get doing something...I was freaking out....I had started this kit in November...and then it sat....I lost a few parts along the way...but...I thought...I will use this kit to get back in the swing....I will probably buy this kit again...because it has awesome potential...I had primed the undercarriage and sprayed some Alclad black base coat on it...as seen below
Then I bought a new airbrush on March 16th...A Grex T3(more on that later)...and started to prime parts
Above ....I thought I would try a two tone paint job...never really tried it before...the new Grex did great on the close hand steady stuff....
Above...after I sprayed and clear coated the light blue...I masked off the stuff I wanted to paint...below is the result....not half bad for a first attempt, and learning a new airbrush...
I have more to come later....When I can sort out some photos....this coming out of hibernation left my skills a bit rusty...and add a new airbrush on top of it...I was all over the place...10 thumbs...and many mistakes...but just glad to be back and creating and enjoying the process...even with the mistakes
