Lamborghini Aventador WIP....

Current projects on the table...1/16 scale Cobra.....and a Lamborghini Aventador......

Started work on tires and rims first...

Then engine compartment.....

Then I did a little mock up...I had been building the body and adding as many parts as I could before I primed it...it fit pretty good, had a few issues...but i am rather green at this type of build

I sprayed a primer filer, then a precoat ..both black...then a topcoat of red pearl...I am waiting on cure time to do some sanding and buffing...then a clear coat...

Up next interior and tail and headlights...plus some black highlights...

Till next time SKOL....................

2014.....the rest of the year...Hendo...The Good, the Bad, the Ugly

PG Zaku, 6 months of on again off again work
These are a few of the project Hendo worked on this year...some came out great..others, rough...the PG Gundam...had a bunch of parts break, but it was built to completion...possible post coming of it in the future....GTX is a newer project that ran into some paint issues...Hendo is trying new paint and combinations...he had some Fuzz and dust...but will slowly finish this car...Malibu is a terribly cast AMT...that has run into some issues that pissed the Hendo off so he shelved it...maybe it will see the light of day again...

GTX test car

Below is the start of a 2nd Lambo...it is a test build as well...making a few mistakes but learning

Malibu stocker...all kinds of problems

Lambo engine...slow build project

Charger test car...my sons project, my paint test car

Lambo that saw all the problems a modeler could ever face
last 2 cars...the Charger was Hendo's first attempt at Fingernail polish for paint...his son is building the car..so it may never be finished...The blue Lambo...had major damage from a drop, and from a poor decision, then some very bad paint from a rattle can...so Hendo scuffed it up and took pictures for the heck of it.................Hendo hopes to continue to work on the Lambo, GTX, and his 1/12 Cobra///as Well as start a New Gundam project, and another car...so 2014 will end with a lot going on...hopefully 2015 there will be some new posts///// From Fennie, and Hendo as well....this has been guest columnist Why so serious...

Get back into the swing part 2....60 Chevy

Detailed up the interior with decals...I ruined one so I used a black on on far left...
did some minor detail work
decaled the interior
put on the door panels...did not read instructions...interior was supposed to go inside of body not frame...meh...
slapped it together for a test fit...broke a few parts...took back apart

two shots ...before and after chrome molding ...above and below

view of the funky tail lights...what a bear they were to put in

above and below ...with glass in and waiting to go to the photo box....

This was a tough build for me...skill level 2 my butt...more parts than I was used to...but it got me out of the winter blues(the color choice is ironic)...it was so cold in my painting and model space...I ran the electric bill up with my oil heater...and got in the doghouse with the wife...then as I was cleaning up I moved the door handles somewhere...and I never put the hood and trunk springs on...but...ppffttt....photo box to come someday soon...

Up next a curbside tuner...and possibly a PG Gundam update(80% sanded)...still lots to go on that beast..

60 Chevy....get back into the swing build part 1

Winter in Michigan this year had record cold temperatures and my hobby room was not immune to that cold...I heated it for a few weeks, then came this 500 plus dollar heating bill...Ouch...so...I was relegated to cold sanding spells....it started to warm up a few weeks ago...still to cold really...but I had to get doing something...I was freaking out....I had started this kit in November...and then it sat....I lost a few parts along the way...but...I thought...I will use this kit to get back in the swing....I will probably buy this kit again...because it has awesome potential...I had primed the undercarriage and sprayed some Alclad black base coat on it...as seen below

 Then started fabricating stuff....
Then I bought a new airbrush on March 16th...A Grex T3(more on that later)...and started to prime parts

Above ....I thought I would try a two tone paint job...never really tried it before...the new Grex did great on the close hand steady stuff....
Above...after I sprayed and clear coated the light blue...I masked off the stuff I wanted to paint...below is the result....not half bad for a first attempt, and learning a new airbrush...
I have more to come later....When I can sort out some photos....this coming out of hibernation left my skills a bit rusty...and add a new airbrush on top of it...I was all over the place...10 thumbs...and many mistakes...but just glad to be back and creating and enjoying the process...even with the mistakes

New Posts coming...Fennie and Hendo...coming out of hibernation

See what made Hendo's hand smurfalicious.....

5 Buck sprint car test build

a quickly thrown together sprint car...was fun and a challenge.....used this as a test car...to figure some stuff out with paint, and what not...
